As a church we are called by God to care about people and their needs by providing a variety of settings, programs and unique places for programs, retreats and conferences in which children, youth, adults and families can experience Christian community in diverse ways. We believe this will renew, enable, affirm and equip persons to become effective disciples now and in the future.

The New England Conference of The United Methodist Church offers summer camp opportunities for elementary, junior and senior high youth and for adults and families. Four camps are open in the New England area:

CAMP ALDERSGATE  - North Scituate, Rhode Island

COVENANT HILLS - Cabot, Vermont

MECHUWANA - Winthrop, Maine

ROLLING RIDGE - North Andover, MA

WANAKEE - Meredith, New Hampshire

The Camps and Retreats Committee of the New England Conference, along with representatives of the four sites recently developed the following mission statement:

The Mission of the Camps and Retreat Ministries, in partnership with the local church, is to share sacred environment, offering Christian hospitality, learning, and spiritual growth to all.

In general, unless otherwise indicated the following guidelines apply to all camp programs:

• Elementary Programs - you must have completed 3rd grade
• Junior High Programs - you must have completed 6th grade
• Senior High Programs - you must have completed 9th grade
